Just Close Window to Return CHRISTIAN COMMISSIONER’S DIGEST FOR MAY, 2010 Beloved, Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17 Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God which keepeth covenant. Deut. 7:9 This month’s verse of our digest tells us about God’s faithfulness in doing what He promised. May be you are wondering why things are turning upside down? Or that your prayers are not answered? Or when will my situation change? There are many heart troubling questions which satan may trick you to think that God has changed. God is ever faithful and fulfilling. The word faithfulness means a firm allegiance to a duty or purpose, constant or unwavering. Nothing makes God to be faithless. He is constant and unwavering. God is not like the shifting shadows, he who made the sun to be the same in nature, activity and influence though it is often disturbed by the cloud and the earth, it is still the sun. God, Himself is unchangeable in His promises He has given us every good and perfect gift. When you read his word and declare over your life, business, home, you can count on Him to be faithful. Take a closer look at your life and see areas you have not been faithful. Are you faithful in your covenant with Him? Are you faithful in paying tithe and offering? Are you faithful to fellowship with Him? It is time not to blame God but yourself, if you are not faithful to forgive your neighbor and call him or her back to Christ If you want God to bless you daily, you must be faithful to Him and He will give you grace to be faithful to those who come in contact with you. Stop crying and telling everybody that problem, rather, enter into a covenant of faithfulness with God and God will fulfill everything He has told you. You are sure to be preserved by God “Love the Lord all his saints! The Lord preserves the faithful.” Ps 31:23 Don’t give up on what God has promised you rather; remain faithful even if you are passing through what you may term as the worst struggle in life. Stay and wait in His presence. Surely, He is faithful to bless you “The Lord is good unto them that wait for Him” Lamentation 3:25 “Be fully persuaded by His nature to believe that He says what He does” Rom. 4:21
